Friday practice update
Nothing terribly notable today. Derek Armstrong nearly decapitated Erik Ersberg with a high slap shot that grazed Ersberg's helmet and actually took him out of practice for a few minutes while it got fixed. Otherwise it was a brief but vigorous practice.
One thing that's notable is how often Terry Murray stops practice to teach. It's not yelling, unlike the previous regime. He will stop and talk to players -- particularly defensemen -- about how a drill could have been run better.
I have some quotes from Murray on that, as well as stuff from Doughty and Ersberg. No lineup changes expected tomorrow.

Barry Melrose fired!!!! maybe the Lightning shouldn't have signed 17 3rd liners and think they would be a good team.
Why is it that the lamest players on our teams through out our history always injure our best players in practice? ie. craig johnson injuring both Jason Allison and Adam Deadmarsh?
You guys hear about the lightning firing Barry Melrose after 16 games? I think that sucks I was looking foward to him coming back to staples and seeing the reaction, I'm sure he will be back on at ESPN soon.

Does Murray have a doghouse and is anyone in it?
Seems like Terry Murray and the Kings are getting along well. Deano is looking like more of a genius as this season goes along, and I'm very happy about where the organization seems to be going. I'd like to think its like the Rays, you know? Well, did anyone else see that our friend Barry Melrose got fired by the Lightning?
So I hear Barry Melrose got fired and Rick Tocchet is taking over temporarily.
I bet that doesn't last.......

But, just think of all the money Tocchet can make betting against TB!!
There have been reports in the media, though denied by AEG, that AEG is interested in buying Newcastle United FC in England.
Would that mean cheap Newcastle Brown Ale at Kings games? Jersey's like this?:
