Johnson not returning early

| | Comments (6) |

Given that Jack Johnson's recovery from shoulder surgery is progressing faster than expected -- he had another vigorous skating session with Daryl Evans this morning -- it seemed that Johnson might be in line for a mid-to-late December return. Not so fast. Looks as though cooler heads have prevailed. Johnson said on the game telecast last night that he still didn't intend to return until after the All-Star break in late January.

Johnson said, ``It is true that I am way ahead of schedule, but myself and the doctor are both pretty set on returning after the All-Star break and there really isn't any need to rush. I am just trying to get healthy and as strong as I can before I come back.''

I can't wait to see him back.
He would do nothing but help the team.
BTW, Who would he replace - Gauthier, Preissing, Greene, Harrold, Quincey, O'Donnel, Doughty.
Oops, no way Doughty.

I think it's a smart decision to take his time.

I'd replace Harrold...

Put Gauthier on waivers. He is a -7 and seems to look lost when he is on the ice and takes bad penalties. Or Harrold since he is on a two-way contract. Sign Quincey long term after this year.

What?! Put Gauthier on waivers..lol. What the team lacked last year was a BIG & TOUGH defense.... Compare the toughness and size that we have now to last year's.

i'm glad you're not making the decisions. Greene and Preissing are the weakest D-men. I'll take Goat over those two. But I don't want any of them gone. I just want better from Greene. If you know what you're watching, Greene can't hide his sins.

They're all Kings. They're all a part of a team that is deserving of respect.

The only cautionary tale to tell is avoiding the seven deadly sins. Steer clear of Pride and Greed.

Good decision to wait. While the Kings may be better than I expected, it's hardly worth a career to risk a few games over. Better to err on the side of caution.
