J.P. Dumont scored a power play goal with 2:28 left. Drew Doughty was penalized at 16:30 for hooking, and the Predators took advantage of the power play. Dumont also assisted on the first goal.

This new interpretation of the definition of hooking has major problems. In the rules it is OK to lift the stick of an opponent yet when players do that, and the stick gets parallel to the ice, even if there isn't contact with the other player's hands the refs are calling penalties, albeit inconsistently but calling them and effecting the outcome of games. In the replay of the call on Doughty it didn't look like there was any contact on the gloves by his stick. Calling this penalty at that point of the game was slanting the ice for Nashville to win.

Another one of those tough loses after dominating the game.
