Post-game stuff from Murray
KINGS HEAD COACH TERRY MURRAY:
(Re: game recap): "We got a good effort tonight from everybody, from the top right through the bottom. I thought the team dug in...the puck movement and the play away from the puck was tremendous. We're aware they were missing a couple of key players and they played last night, still it doesn't take away from the effort we gave. It was a great team effort."
(Re: O'Sullivan line) "They played against a Backstrom line and their responsibility tonight was to go in with a checking mindset and to make sure to try and limit the opportunities that a guy like Ovechkin is going to get and we did that tonight. As a result of it, you work hard to get the puck and I saw some good things tonight. The goal that O'Sullivan scored, that's a goal- scorers goal. There aren't many guys on our team or any team that are going to be able to finish on that play."

Murray continues to make me laugh. Does this guy ever get excited about anything? That deadpan expression of his and how he says the team played good, when I'm wanting to shout, omg, they played just great. Then I'd add....Ersberg once again, got a win for us. It's time to admit, he's the #1.
Murray,Doughty,Ersberg calmness rubs off on this team and it's fun to watch.
No yelling, screaming, chewing out players on the bench
I like very much.
Some quick thoughts:
Sweet goal by Sully. I'm a sucker for the pull-and-drag move. It seems like it's become much more popular over the past two or three years.
Dustin's goal looked nice, but it never would have happened if Fleischmann hadn't fallen asleep on the play. It's nice to see the Kings capitalizing on the other team's mistakes, rather than the other way around.
Now that we've straightened out Terry Murray and his line combinations, perhaps we experts can put our heads together and tell Henry Paulson how to solve the credit crisis.
thank you for doing such a great report every game/day you two rule!!
I love to see this team play, win or lose, the Kings are competitive every night. The final tweaks in the line-up I would like to see until JMFJ comes back are:
Get Boyle on a line with a good winger, or get him out of the line-up.
Please scratch Calder for a couple of nights, and see if he can come back with a better game.

So true. But you forgot one -- how about Moller??
He is so calm and assured out there. He is never at a loss for what to do.
And notice how he is also confident enough to be telling his teammates what
to do out there? Seems like a seasoned NHL vet already. Awesome. Love him.
We've got a nickname for Moller -- "Thumper."
You're damn right that's a goal scorers goal.
About time your pea brain finally figured it out.
Everybody sees his talent but you.
I hope you feel stupid that it took you this long to finally put that line together.
Just what the hell were you thinking when you put that worthless Calder on that line.
