Quickie Ersberg quotes
KINGS GOALTENDER ERIK ERSBERG:
(Re: his performance): "I think I played pretty well, we got one point, I guess that's good. After the game you're just upset because you lost. Hopefully next time we can get two points. It's my first start and it's really fun to be out there on the ice and get some shots. I guess it's a good game to build on. Before we didn't get any points and now at least we got one point, hopefully we can get two next time".
(Re: whether he saw last shot): "There was a screen on the pass and well - I heard it. It was a good shot. I'm just trying to see the puck and I couldn't really see who was screening me. It was four-on-three, so it happens sometimes".
(Re: playing next game): "I don't know it's totally up to the coach. Obviously I want to play the next game. It's not my decision."

Even Giguere said our ice was horrible......fix it!!
Play Erik on the next game.....
And Murray should watch most of last year summer's tapes.
Ersberg played his heart out and kept us in the game, I was in the Murray camp initially in that I wanted to avoid another goalie controversy, but shame on him if he doesn't give him the start on Thurs.
I now feel winning is more important than avoiding avoiding a controversy with this team. With a team full of young, raw talent, I believe everybody should be held accountable for their play, and the best players should get the starts.
I know it breaks consistency which is also very important, but you've got to show these guys that everyone has an equal shot, and if they preform(as Ersberg did, and Babs failed to do) then you should play, until we form some consistency, and string a few wins together.
"Before we didn't get any points and now at least we got one point..."
HAHAHAHA sums up our season, god i LOVE this guy.
WE WANT ERSBERG! WE WANT ERSBERG! WE WANT ERSBERG!
If Labs starts this game, we lose 3-0. On 3 occasions I saw saves and times where Ersberg gave up no rebound that Jason would have given up and they probably would have scored. Yes, it's speculation, but it's based on watching Barbs for 10 games. No controversy for me...until Ersberg starts choking, he should be playing. He gives our team a chance to win and his calm presence in net settles the team down in front of him.
TM better make the easy choice or there is gonna be some respect lost. Some of the decisions being made with players look more like indecision (IE POS, Moulson, Ersberg, etc.) TM needs a history lesson..it's called game tape..watch last year's and get the education. POS, Kopi & Brown...keep em together no matter what! Do what you want with the rest.
Another bitter loss, but at least we have a team now that has a chance to win every night. That's a step ahead.
as predicted, he was better than that other guy...
if it was Labs we wouldn't have even gotten to OT, the game would have been 2-0 or 3-0 for the Ducks in regulation.
I'll take the point and move on at this point in the season, with our recent struggles. basically, Cynic said it right. we now have established a chance to win, just need to remember how to score some goals next. baby steps
I thought EE had a pretty good game, but there was a mad scramble where a shot was deflected by a winger or it was in the net. Erik had left a wild rebound and was not going to get back. If it had been JLB everyone would be screaming that he was out of control. Erik had decent control of his rebounds, but there were several - there will always be several.
Basically, I thought the Kings out played Anaheim and helped Erik throughout. He got clean views of most shots (although there were a few that he had screens on top of him).
