The Kings today will send Matt Moulson to Manchester of the American Hockey League. John Zeiler will be activated from injured reserve and ``loaned'' to Manchester but will technically still be on the Kings' 23-man roster.

Haha. "LOANED?" Is AEG trying to get used to what "loaning" players out is like?
Headlines - First Beckham, now Zeiler.

Does Big Phil own the MLS AND NHL?

The Monarchs don't even play again until Friday... they probably need Zeiler's money on the books to keep them above the floor... LOL.

Hope this signals that Purcell comes back to the big club soon.

Yes. Purcell, please.

And if Boyle and POS play well together, I would like to see Brown double-shift on their wing. Picture it:

POS/Boyle/Brown Ooooh!

And then maybe...

Purcell/Kopitar/Moller

And then:

Frolov/Handzus/Simmonds
Calderstrong/Stoll/Richardson

Come on, you know you like it!

Moulson - From training camp, to first line, to the bench, to the fourth line, to the first line, to Manchester.

Quite a journey.

God forbid we put a 3rd, maybe 2nd line player on the 2nd or 3rd lines for even a shift.

Bye "beer boy". You had your chance. Better luck next time!

Awesome. Moulson just doesn't fit on the lineup right now unless it is fourth line and we are too deep right now at forward to keep all these guys hanging around. I am getting tired of there being like two to three healthy scratches a day. Preissing may have sucked on a few turnovers but was producing and should not have gotten such a long stint as being a healthy scratch... We needed to send someone down to play our players more. When you are scratching 2-3 million dollar players everyday there is a problem.

Wow...some people are slow. EVERY NHL team does this when they have a player who has not played a competative game in quite some time. It's a conditioning assignment, nothing more.

That'll be the of Moulson.
Players like Purcell, Lewis, Meckler, Holloway, will pass him by.

Bring up Tukonen, he's got 3 goals and 7 assists in 13 games. Oh wait, that's in Finland.

I don't think it was fair what they did to Moulson. They did him wrong. We just hope he will rebound and get back with the Kings.

Nick said:

they did Moulson wrong by giving him literally every opportunity to be successful? if you can't score next to the two best players on the team, and you're known as a top 6 forward, where exactly should you be?

Mike Mazzer said:

If this is a “conditioning assignment”, does this mean that Murray intends to bring Zeiler up when he is fit rather than someone like Purcell?

These constant lineup changes are more than just annoying, they are an impediment to team progress. Moulson has been a consistent player in juniors, college, and the AHL, and even demonstrated a nose for the goal last year when he was called up for 22 games. I find it hard to believe the constant juggling of the lines and healthy scratches has not had negative effect on his play and on the play of the team. If he is not to be a 1st line player (and I am not saying he should be), at least play him on another "non-checking" line. So far I am disappointed in the chaotic management of this roster -- give the players a chance to stabilize and get in a groove.

I agree, Moulson was like on a roller coaster..lst line, bench, 4th line, etc.... need more consistency from the coach. Moulson deserves to come back.

Dan H. said:

Since we're supposedly on the youth movement wouldn't it make more sense to send Armstrong down and put Moulson where he belongs on that line?

I'm just saying.
