Harrold’s homecoming

With all respect to the good people of Buffalo, Detroit and Columbus, there aren’t many people who would view that as a fantastic road trip. Peter Harrold would, though. As a native of Kirtland Hills, Ohio — a suburb of Cleveland — Harrold has been able to spend time with family and friends over the past few days.

“My parents, my brother and his girlfriend made it through the snowstorm in Buffalo,” Harrold told the Kings’ website, “and then battled it to get back home. And then they came to Detroit the next night. It’s cool to have them here and it’s fun for them to watch in person because LA is quite a way’s away. It’ll be fun to have them here in Columbus and in my home state.”

    Good for Peter.
I’m glad he’s getting a chance to play and he brings something to the team, especially on the powerplay.
I don’t know if he’s going to be around for a long time, but what an amazing experience getting to play in the NHL and have your name in the record books for all time.
Zeiler is the real “RUDY” of this club, but Harrold is an inspiring guy in many ways.

  • I’ll be flying out for the game tomorrow…but you won’t see me chest painting Harrold on my chest.

Rich, thanks for the human interest story. Harrold has done pretty well to sit down Preissing.

Hey, any chance Harrold can use his Cleveland contacts to get this James fellow to sign with the Lakers? Apparently this James guy plays for the Cleveland basketball team and is smart enough that he does not to want to sign with the Knicks.

See, if the Lakers make more dough we might pay less for Kings tickets.

Wait, sorry. Forgot. The Kings decided to screw the season ticket holders and now are charging only $11.50 for the lower bowl at Staples. Good thing I bought those season seats at near ten times the price.

Harrold has played quite well recently. I’m not sure how much upside he has, but he’s a pretty smart player and doesn’t try things he’s not capable of doing.

I feel much more comfortable with Harrold out there than Preissing.

Congrats to Peter for scoring a goal in his home state in front of family and friends.

Good for him. Scored a nice goal in front of his sorta home town crowd.

Please take the opportunity to tell Harrold that his game against Columbus was epic. What a great game he, and the team, played.
I’d love to know that he knew there were some fans who really appreciated that effort and recognize how hard he’s worked to be here helping out.
I hope he continues to play like an animal.
Damn, that’s just what this team needs.
I also think he honored the man he replaced by playing with the desire and effort that Zeiler displays every shift.
