Nice goal by O'Sullivan though... I'd say he is the best forward on our team.

Frustrating ending after the excitement of the 2nd period. 1st period was horrible. Lucky we got a point tonight. And lucky Gagner wasn't in the Oiler's line up for the shoot out.

Live and learn boys... Go Kings!

Give credit where credit is due. Barbs look outstanding he was PISSED after the game try to talk to him Rich....I have yet to see him that mad tell him one hell of a game.

Absolutely the best game by JLB I have ever seen. Also, great game by Calder, especially in the second period. Two points each for Frolov/Moller/Handzus; I guess that line works.

Barbs absolutely deserved to win this game. It's so frustating to let a game go while leading by 1 point on the 3rd for 3 straight games now. The skaters had completely shut down for 12 minutes on the 3rd. This could have easily been a 7-4, Oilers. Barbs should have won that game.

Again we lose another close one.If the top 6 are played together and the bottom 6 played sparingly we win easily against a low end team.Murrays line selection fail again except fo Fro Moller and Zeus.Good game for Labs coming in relief for Berg.Need to work on that pokemon pokecheck.

Any goalie would be pissed! He is trying to prove himself and the Kings did NOT help. And what was that shot by Kopitar in the shootout? That's it? Where did the WOW go?

I did like Sully's goal though. Garon sucked especially in the first but as we know, the shootout is not his weak point!

More consistency tomorrow please boys.

Do you think that all of the talking has got them thinking too much? Trying to do too much?

I guess Marty is Blind.....If you dont think Barbs was outstanding you are high, dumb,or dont know jack about hockey.......

Hate to say this...but it might be time to sit Kopi and let him take a look "outside the box". He needs to step it up...even if he scored...the rest of his game is very...sub-par....

Crazy game, but we weren't good enough.

I'm getting worried about Simmonds. Lately he's been looking like a boy amongst men. He's producing zilch but pretty regularly taking hooking penalties. Maybe I'm missing something cuz tonight he got 5 minutes more ice-time than Moller (4th lowest on team) even though Moller usually looks dangerous (in a good way) out there. Was Moller hurt? Benched? I wouldn't be surprised to see Simmonds sent down.

It would have been a befitting fairy tale to tuck in Anthony if Calder had buried that Edmonton turnover with .40 to play. But, alas, the frog turned into...Kyle Calder. Just Kidding. He played well, for a 4th line grinder.
Come on Murray.
Would you have been afraid to give Richardson a shift in the 3rd?
He sounds like he thinks he engineered that comeback for the point. Wake up.
This team is on the razor's edge. They're not getting anything right consistently anymore, and if it weren't for Labs, they'd have lost by a couple.
Where's those Labs bashers now? Hellova 3rd period.

I don't know what happens with this team. THey looked like warm poo in the first, came out looking like the 1980's Oilers in the second, and then reverted in the third.

I think Murray should have used his timeout during that stretch before the goal was scored to try and settle them down. The Oilers were all over them.

Labs had a fantastic game, especially in the third he made some great stops. I don't think he's the best in shootouts so I was worried going in. I hate shootouts anyway.

The Fro/Handzus/Moller line I really like. I was glad they were out but I saw Armstrong skating on that line in the third...I don't know why Murray can't keep ANY line together but the line that he keeps throwing Calder on.

I completely agree with Bring Back..

I get so frustrated watching Simmonds out there whiff on scoring opportunities. He must get atleast 2 or 3 a game and either misses the net by a football field or misses the puck altogether.

Also, does anyone else notice how many times the Kings ice the puck a game? Our defensemen do not have good first pass skills.

Labs lookes so good last night.
He had some killer saves. It is no way his fault we lost the game. The Kings played horrible in the third period. I knew they were gonna tie it i just didnt know when. Its depressing seeing them lose leads all the time.
Anyways, GO KINGS GO!!!!

Canadian - I agree about our defensemen. Look at how Edmonton work the puck around at the back. This is why we struggle on the PP. We don't have that group quarterbacking ability back there, it has to come from down low.

Quisp - Your predictions about Quincey and Zues were well supported last night. I thought Quincey looked good. He doesn't have the pure defending strengths and booming point shot of Blake, but he reminds me of him a lot in his movement and size. I've said before you were right about Moller, just wish he got more ice time when he's having a good game.

BBK, Canadian - I continue to like seeing Simmonds get ice time. I'm more upset that we have guys in Manch. not learning to adapt to the NHL, but we've got Zeiler getting 5 minutes a game when he's not trusted in the 3rd and he's got NO UPSIDE. WHAT IS THE POINT? I also noticed he got one of his few shifts with O'Sullivan. More head games.
