Game notes
Just talked to Terry Murray. A couple things on tonight...
-- Jason LaBarbera will be in goal tonight, and Murray said he's not certain whether Jonathan Quick is ready to start a game. Murray said he will talk to Bill Ranford and solicit opinions, but right now he seemed inclined to start LaBarbera tonight and tomorrow. There will be some quotes a bit later about LaBarbera.
-- Trevor Lewis will slide into Oscar Moller's spot, centering Raitis Ivanans and John Zeiler.
-- Derek Armstrong and Brad Richardson stayed in L.A. Armstrong is still dealing with concussion symptoms and Richardson's foot still hasn't totally healed. Because the cut happened right at the top of Richardson's skate, it needs to totally heal so that it doesn't reopen.

I think I posted before that we could lose all three games on this trip. And now without Quick starting it looks like a may be right, very sad.
ok so two losses -- did he say who will start in Columbus?
Ready or not, I'd start Quick anyway.
The way Barbi has been playing lately, we could be out of the playoff contention by mid January if he continues to start.

Why does he persist in this 4th line fiasco.
If we lose, I hope it's because of the 4th line so that this stops here.
We're going to need a full 4 lines against Detroit and now would be a perfect time to shuffle a LITTLE.
I'll just tell myself all day:
PATIENCE - Murray's doing a great job.
Just because the little things don't make sense from the outside there's got to be a reason.
I was expecting this and I'm tempted to boycott watching any game Labs is in net but unless Labs gonna refund my center ice $ I'm stuck and finally a rare EST start for me.
This is basically Labs v Ersberg all over again so we gotta wait 10 games or Labs plays like crap and gets pulled. Once Erik got hurt I knew what I was getting for X-mas pillows. No thanks Santa.
Murray said he would "start" both games - whether he finishes them or not remains to be seen
Given his shutout of Columbus (it was only columbus) last time, I'd guess that Murray would start LaBarbera against the Jackets come hell or high water. Hope we see Quick start tomorrow against Detroit.
