Kings 1, Rangers 1
A shot by Chris Drury with 44 seconds left in the period, appeared to clear traffic, then deflected off LaBarbera's glove and trickled over the line to tie the game.

know what I want for christmas? a goalie who can make a save. or Latardera sent to the glue factory. either one wil do, thx santa
What a soft goal! Why can't labsenra pull his groin!
Only three shots on goal in the first perios, and this fool can't make one big save.
Its like he's got rain gloves on.
He just hopes that his team out scores the opponents.
That's a killer. 3 shots on the period and they score with a minute left. Great screen shot by Drury. Not the fault of JLB on that.
Anyone still gonna defend this clown that's in our net tonight? Murray needs to pull him now and put in Quick to start the 2nd
OH YEAHHHHHHHH HE'S A #1 ALRIGHT........ HE IS PITIFUL, I"D RATHER HAVE CLOUTIER BACK. As long as Murray keeps playing this clown, the rest of the team can work their a$$es off til hell freezes over and it's not going to make any difference. They out hustle, out shoot 10-2 at the time and Drury gets a soft shoot and "Hands of Stone" can't hold on. I'm awful tired also of hearing all the lame a$$ excuse from Jim Fox, a real freakin homer.
Damn! Harshness...I really didn't think it was his fault. Both O'Donnell and Greene were at least partially screening the shot. If you want to lay blame, blame whomever turned it right over to Drury in the first place.
terrible terrible goal given up...labs is brutal...let play quick now!
I am sooooo glad he's an UFA next year....YOU SUCK LABARBARA!
LA BARBARA NEEDS TO GO....PLS PLS PLS I BEG..IS PAINFULL TO WATCH THIS GUY..PLS DL LET HIM GO
If I performed at my job like Labs performs at his I would be fired.
Maybe they should have started.....Quick??? Bad goal; I didn't see any screen.....
Give it a rest people...anyone who saw the replay could clearly see Labs was 100% screened on that shot. Complain that he has been bad on shootout/penalty shots is fine, but that was not a bad goal.

Get your eyes checked, there was NO SCREEN. The guy can't catch. If you're happy with poor play and there are a few of you out there, with all the excuses and evidently with put a doubt you never played the game or heard of it until Mr. Wonderful was traded here.
jlb was awful on that 1st period shot. he saw it and put out his glove and plain missed it. an nhl goalie has to make that save. 43 seconds left in a period that may have been one of the best periods the kings have played since 2002 and they end up tied. it totally deflated the team. the rangers were given a free pass and christmas gifts by the officials in the 2nd and took the lead on, of course, a frackin' penalty shot. through the graces of all that is wholly the kings tied it and at least salvaged a point. then again in ot, jlb underacheives once more and lays a cleveland steamer on the ice and the rangers walk away, no steal way a victory in staples. fricken' bulls**t.
you know what i'm sick of, listening to nick and darryl on kings talk pussyfooting around the issue. how can they be partial? the kings pay their salaries. i would like to have the oppositions announcers field kings talk questions and get "real" answers from the hosts. say it nick... say it darryl... jlb sucks ass! they know it, but don't say it.
my fear is that quick won't get a shot and jlb will take this team down over the next two weeks and our bright season will be over to start 09.
i was fricken' pissed at the goal in the first and pissed off with the sh**ty officiating in the 2nd. that being said, our skaters played their asses off tonight - the whole g*ddamn game. if we had a true #1 goalie, any real goalie, the kings would be ahead of the ducks and in 5th or 6th place in the conf.
A cricket player could have stopped that shot, and they dont even wear gloves!!!!

Al-I have played hockey my entire life, so don't mistake my observations for one a Duck fan would make. I thought it was a bad goal until the intermission when they showed it from the behind the goal perspective (which some of you critics may have missed). You could not see the shot from that persepctive. The fact that it hit his glove was more about positioning that anything else. He could not see the shot. As I said, he is open to criticism on other things but I get a little annoyed with people who complain about every single goal that happens. I think some folks have lost a little something called perspective when it comes to Jason LaBarbera. Has JLB been bad in the shootout/penalty shot format this year? Absolutely. Should he have made the save in the GWG in OT? Yes. Has he earned starting goalie status for us this year? No. But again, that does not mean every goal he gives up is a bad one.
