Kings 2, Sharks 1
A rocket slap shot by Dan Boyle deflected off the end boards, and Ryan Clowe tucked the puck past Erik Ersberg before he could recover. A power-play goal for the Sharks with 6:48 remaining in the period.

Why was Gauthier on the ice for the P.K.?
that's the way to come out and play! excellent first period for the kings. great puck possession in the offensive zone, especially to close out the period. but can they keep it up for three periods?
seemed like the sharks were 'testing the waters' that first period and not applying full pressure. the size differential was apparent. seemed like their forwards pushed around our d a bit. we did a good job to recover, but there was some serious scrambling to clear the zone.
i'd like to see "don't taze me fro" show everyone just how easily he can run with these guys.
Gauthier's been part of the PK for the ENTIRE YEAR. He's 4th on the team in shorthanded TOI and is part of the reason the PK has been much improved from last year.
Dear God,
Please let Ersberg be okay.
Much love,
Mark
Looks like Bernier or Quick will get a chance to play in the NHL. Lets hope JLB can finish off this game alright. Go Kings!!
Looks like Quick or Bernier may be coming to LA
