Maybe it was because we had the two days off and we didn't skate, but that shouldn't be our excuse. Everybody should come here and be ready to go and it showed in this league. You have got to play 60 minutes, not just 20.''

(Re: game recap): ``I don't think we came ready to play. The first two periods weren't very good on our part, and I think that's the difficult thing right now. We were really good in the third (period), but it's tough coming off a two-day break, They were more ready to play than we were, but the good thing about our game is that we've got another one tomorrow, so we can come back with a better effort.''

· Peter Harrold scored his second goal, equaling his total from last season.
· Patrick O'Sullivan now has 16 points in the last 18 games (6-10=16).
· Anze Kopitar now has 11 points in the last 11 games (5-6=11).
· Kopitar won 13-of-18 faceoffs tonight (72 percent).

This season, I don't think I've seen any King carry the puck end to end as fast as Peter Harrold did on that one rush in the third period.
Rich, can you do me a favour. Please ask Teddy Purcell how you pronounce his name. Is it PURcel (one syllable) like Bob Miller sayas it, or is it pur-CELL (two syllables) like all the other announcers say it? I don't know why it bugs me so much, but I have to know the answer!
PS - Frolov had his worst game of the year tonight...
It's the former...Bob Miller has it correct. Helene Elliott and I made a point of asking Teddy the day he got called up.
That was a pretty disappointing effort. Normally, I get a little upset when they can't get a bounce, but tonight I didn't feel they deserved the bounces.
I look forward to them bouncing back tomorrow night against this team. It is a team that they can beat, but they haven't showed it yet.
Better effort and a better result.
quisp, you are right on. that was one of the better end to end plays all year. his d-zone all the way to the circles. too bad he didn't score. that would have been one for the highlight reels.
here, here brent. as we discussed post game, a lousy performance that did not deserve a point. tomorrow is a new day and hopefully a better showing in phx.
I was at the game last night. Even though i was super sick. Anyway. I just gotta say the first two periods were boooooring. The third was nice but once again no one was there to get the rebound. it drives me crazy! Hopefully we can bounce back tonight. I'll see yall on Monday!
