Tonight's game
Not surprisingly, Erik Ersberg is expected to get the start for the Kings tonight, with no lineup changes expected at the moment. The Sharks, obviously, are off to a brilliant start. If you're going to beat them, better jump on them early. The Sharks have a .917 winning percentage when leading after one period and a .941 winning percentage when leading after two periods, compared to .714 and .500 when trailing after one and two periods, respectively. Of course, they haven't trailed much at all this season... You won't have Jeremy Roenick to kick around tonight. He is out for three weeks with a shoulder injury.

Roenick is out, maybe they will call up Lemieux to keep their average age at 40.
who needs JR to kick around when we're saving our energy for Rob(you blind)Blake?
I don't care about jeremy Roenick as much as I would like to see John Zeiler smash Rob Bkake the way he did Adam Foote. This guy (money comes first) Blake only looks after NUMBER ONE, and that's it.
Number #4 blows.
.714 after trailing? now that's a pretty awesome stat.
Looks like we're going to have a preview of the first round of the playoffs here.
If the Kings wanted to play against a playoff bound team to gauge where they stand at the moment, this is the team. Lets go Kings.
I can't wait to boo Rob Blake, I missed the first game. It would be great to see San Jose take a night off so we can keep our stroke going!
they gotta lose sometime, right? how about tonight. if we play like we've been playing, it's very possible. i hope there's no let down and that the centers, particularly kopitar, really bear down. let 'em swim in the frigged waters where icebergs roam. the sharks are ripe for the taking. go kings go!
All this winning by the fish won't matter because they'll disintegrate in the playoffs like they always do. Probably against Detroit.
The only way to show up Rob Fake is for the Kings to win. So I hope the team plays well and that Ersberg is on his game. Go Kings!
Any word on Cheechoo for tonight? I heard he might be out....
Well, obviously the main stat is that they virtually never lose.
I don't know how Blake lives with himself. Seriously.
It was SO damn frustrating watching him NOT play all last year.
And equally frustrating watching him actually try this year.
PUNK
If I was going to the game tonight he would get the boo from me straight up.
Win or lose, I want to see the Kings play competitive tonight. Its certainly not gonna make or break our season either way, as they've shown they can rebound from some bad games this year, but it would be nice to be in this game at the end.
Not to mention seeing Shelley and Ivan drop the gloves....
I'm excited about this game. I don't expect to win, but I do expect some improvements from the first two games. This will be a good test for the boys. I have a good feeling they're(Kings) going to play a solid game. Good enough to win? I don't know, but I hope so.
I wouldn't mind seeing Blake pick himself off the ice from a big hit. Nothing dirty, just explosive. One of those where he whispers to himself, damn that hurt.
the Sharks also have a massively high winning record this year in games that are played on ice
Did anyone else get burned by a coworker with "The Kings fired there coach today?"
The Sharks play Detroit in a couple games and might be caught looking ahead. Defense will decide this game. If the iceberg is on his game, Doughty and Quincy play strong and the 4th line doesn't hurt us we very well could beat this team.
I really want the Kings to just compete tonight. Everywhere you look has the Sharks looking past this game and on to the Detroit game. They just may underestimate this Kings team and open the door for us. Either way, this will be a fun game to watch.
and they do particularly well at home...and on the road.
I love watching this team play, With all the hype about the Sharks / Detroit game they just may underestimate our guys.
Go KINGS
you forgot that the sharks are undefeated when they play on mondays.
