Tuesday afternoon update
I'll have a few quotes from Terry Murray in a bit, but here are the highlights of a brief conversation.
-- Jason LaBarbera will start in goal tonight. Murray expressed satisfaction with LaBarbera's last game and a bit of concern with Ersberg's recent play and his ability to hold up under heavy work.
-- Brad Richardson is still out of the lineup, because of the cut on his lower leg he sustained in practice last week.
-- Murray talked about the need to limit the chances of Colorado's top line and also the need for the Kings to get more pucks on net in order to create second and third chances off rebounds, deflections, etc.

Zeiler better have his head up... He's going to get some Xmas noogies from Lappy!
Not that I don't think he deserves it, but it'll give us a chance to see the real John Zeiler... Man or prick..
The sad thing is someone on the kings will probably try to step in, and end up getting hurt. I really hope not, but that is usually the case.
Come on Kings! Rip them a new one!
Oh boy!
Cloutier is to Crawford as Labarabra is to......
Good, that's the right call in goal.
Please the D hung Ersberg out to dry those first two goals.
You think it's possible after LaBadBra makes a save he could actually stay within 3 feet of the crease tonight?
KingRu - Dude, that's a low blow comparing Labs to Cloutier.
Labs never came with any expectations, he's never made over 900,000, and he's got a spine.

Why the hell is Zeiler on the books for 2 1/2 more years?
I wonder if Lombardi is thinking of offering Calder another contract before he goes UFA next July? If that grind line ever comes together and works, I'd love to see him back for Maltby-money.
Both are current goalies are going to be UFA in July too.
I'm sure TM will be telling his players to let COL be stupid tonight. Let them run around. Let them go after Zeiler. I have a feeling tonight's game may depend on the Kings power play; let COL take penalties and then make them pay.
If Ersberg gets traded, I think it'll be a mistake. He reminds me a lot of Nabokov. And if our D is ever as good as the Sharks' with E between the pipes, lookout.
