Ersberg (mini-)update
Terry Murray said today that Erik Ersberg is ``much improved,'' but stopped short of saying Ersberg would be ready to go when the Kings resume practice on Monday. Murray said Ersberg has been working out using a slideboard, which would further suggest that Ersberg is dealing with some type of knee ailment.

The slideboard is mainly used as an exercise for the skating stride especially for the groin.
Does anyone know why the Kings never (or rarely) broadcast games from Chicago?
The Chicago game, Jan 29th is a home game. The last of the 11.50 seats.
This isn't related to Ersberg, but I wanted to post it in the latest blog entry. For those who have the NHL Network, look for a show they did yesterday called "Live From The All Star Game: Coaches". During that show they have a pretty lengthy interview with Drew Doughty as he joins them on the set. The show will be repeated a bunch of times this weekend, so you should be able to catch it.
... or hip
Tim,
Chicago used to not broadcast any home games so the broadcast infrastructure was not there for a visiting team.
Chicago has changed it's policy over the last couple of years so we should be seeing games from Chitown in the future.
