Johnson update
Jack Johnson continues to participate in full practices but has not yet received clearance for contact drills. That could happen when Johnson next visits the doctor, at the end of this week, but Johnson indicated today that he would still need some time after that. He said he wants to feel comfortable with the contact and also wants to resume his normal weightlifting routine, which has been scaled back since the surgery. The all-star break probably still remains the over/under point on Johnson's return.

Rich -
Since Johnson as been out for so long, do you think there is a chance he may be sent to Manchester for a bit?
Rich,
Thanks for the update on Jack. That all seems rather reasonable to me. No one wants him to rush back if he isn't ready - physically or otherwise.
I'm sure we all look forward to his return (except Preissing). As DL stated, it'll be like making a trade and getting a defensive asset.
It is pretty crazy to think that I sometimes forget that JMFJ is hurt, yet I still think our defense is great. Once he comes back, oh baby... I think Quincey/Johnson would be a great pair. Is Gauthier or Harrold going to be the odd man out?
Im liking the following pairs
Johnson and Greene as the shutdown pairing
Doughty and Quincy as the coring pairing
Harrold and Odonnel as the "other" pairing
Trade preissing for a draft pick...(please higher than a 7th rounder)
