Junior-league trade
I toyed with the idea of a ``Moller traded'' headline on this one, but I didn't want to be responsible for any heart-related issues among readers...
Oscar Moller's junior rights, in the Western Hockey League, have been traded from Chilliwack to Seattle. That's only relevant if the Kings decide to return Moller to his junior team, which seems quite unlikely. If the Kings wanted to send him back, they had the perfect opportunity after the World Juniors ended. But it's not a bad bet for Seattle either, which only gave up one player and a fourth-round pick in the 2010 bantam draft. Should Moller end up playing for Seattle though, he would be teammates with Thomas Hickey.

Bless you, Rich Hammond.
Well, at the end of the season, if the Kings are out of the playoffs and Seattle is in, the Kings may assign him to junior to get some more playoff experience. Heck, anything could happen.
Thank you Rich and your headline still had the desired heart related effect!
Unlikely the T-Birds will be in the playoffs, it would take quite a comeback for them in the standings. It would be nice to see him play with Hickey tho....all in due time.
Seattle is currently the 7th seed if the playoffs started today.
I thought a player couldn't go back to junior after 10 games in the NHL?
Quattro- They can go back the the juniors whenever. The 10 game thing has to do with their pro contract. If Moller had been returned to juniors his 3 year entry level contract wouldn't have started. Now he only has 3 years until he is an RFA, whereas if he went back to juniors before his 10th game those 3 years wouldn't kick in until next year when he played his 10th pro game. He can still be sent to seattle whenever (say for a conditioning stint after his injury) it would just been considered "wasting" one of those years before his rfa if he spent a considerable amount of time there.
