Murray postgame quote

Here's Terry Murray's reaction to the Kings' response (or lack thereof) to the hit on Drew Doughty...

MURRAY: ``I think that's why the dressing-room door is closed. That's a response that players need to take in their own hands right away, through hard play, through going at it and doing right stuff, getting the puck in, physically playing harder, competing harder. That's something that this team should know, but we don't, so we have to go through that process and learn something out of that hit on Doughty tonight.''

If this team does not respond after this dismal performance, then something else is the problem. TM better figure it out quick, because the next dressing room door that closes will be the one that kicks him in the &#* all the way back to Philly.

A coach should know how to teach, but you don't.
A coach should no more than just defense, but you don't.
A coach should know a thing or two about the power play, but you don't.

Blaming others for his incompetence - give me a break.
Good night.

Anthony, what do think about how the coach has played our goalies?

If Murray gets fired it should be the last move DL makes.
I am predicting that Murray "resigns" during the off-season

After this last loss I am embarassed to be a kings fan. The team simply didn't show up. I place no blame on TM, but entirely on the players. It wasn't about X's and O's. It was about the level of compete and the desire to win. When Doughty got hurt...SOD was the only one to respond and even that wasn't enough. This team has regressed to the same place they were in at the end of last season. And NO...I don't blame the coach. He wasn't the one standing still on the ice, or not finishing his checks. Lets not even talk about the play in front of Ersberg...

I've said it before, and I'll say it again...its time to shake up the lineup and make a trade. Show the players that their job is on the line every night. Maybe then they'll play like its a privledge to be in the NHL and equally a privledge to be an LA King.

bonafide cheap shot. if no penalty, I would hope for some kind of league discipline though not hold my break. I think they were afraid to be penalized and possibly take themselves out of any comeback. damned if you do, damned if you don't.

I agree with TB, I expected more. that look on SOD's face was something like, you'll be regretting that.... but nothing really ever came of it.

I could see a trade in the works but whom? I think that's always the big question. there's no good candidate since you can't really trade anyone who hasn't played. Preissing may be an exception, but we'll see
