Tonight's lineup (part two)
Denis Gauthier and Tom Preissing are expected to be the healthy scratches tonight, so the Kings will indeed go back to six defensemen. It's difficult to predict how the pairs will look, because they changed frequently during Saturday's game.
Random note: The Kings are 3-1 on Inauguration Day.

Can the Kings send Terry Murray down to Manchester or Ontario for his poor coaching decisions? Let him work his way back up, but hopefully he will be picked up on reentry waivers.
Elevate Mark Hardy to head coach and can Jamie Kompon ASAP. I'd bring Jim Fox and Daryl Evans in as assistant coaches. They'd certainly bring more passion and energy.
Reunite Nick Nickson with Bob Miller and broadcast all the games as simulcasts.

Wow, this post gave me two very healthy doses of optimism for tonight's game! Sweet!
I don't know why Gauthier is even playing a shift in the NHL, let alone a game.
He clearly doesn't have what it takes to play in this league.
With that, I applaud TM for scratching him. He needs to keep that up until April. Or May if the team makes the playoffs.
Lets trade Gauthier for Anthony !!
This team is not getting better and you could make an augurment that they dont play hard all the time. The ups and downs with the players and constant line changes is not working...the opposite is happenning..the team is playing worse...If its not working then stick with your players and stop with all the constant changes...Its hard to even know who is up or down anymore..If Boyle is not a physical player then stop trying to make him one..Just cause he,s big doenst mean he,s going to be physical...You hear it all the time when a player succeds after a trade, it usually because the new team allows the player to be himself....
Neil is absolutely right.
This coach, and I use that term loosely, (to avoid being bashed I'm trying not to name call here), is trying to turn Kopitar, POS, Brown Frolov, Boyle, Purcell, and soon Moller into defensive players.
Well Sherlock, who do expect to score the goals.
Hmm, Westgarth, Zeiler.
Trade both of them for Chris Neil.
Ivanans-Westgarth-Neil 4th line would be cool.
So Zetternberg, Datsyuk, Ovechkin, Crosby, Malkin, Nash, Staal, Heatley, Getzlf, etc etc can all put pucks in the net AND play defense but because we have a new coach, our pathetic players don't have to be held accountable for their defensive play and are only needed to score?....give your head a shake before you guys make any more ridiculous remarks about trying to show some 21 year old snipers how to play a bit of d. We won't even come close to making the playoffs until they do brainiacs.....
