TM, use whats left of your brain and take Kyle Calder off the power play. Can't you notice how he slows down his linemates.
Rich, do me a favor?
I believe the second Edmonton shootout goal was a double hit. The puck was mis-hit, deflected off Quick's skate, then was poked in before it went completely over the goal line. What are the exact rules on a double hit?
I watched in slow motion...the puck didn't hit Quick's skate. It kept moving forward the entire time and he poked it over the line.
thought the puck changed direction--moved away from Quick/but that was my opinion...
if it did hit Quick, would it have counted?
I've said this before and will repeat. Brown needs someone on his line that can keep up with him when he storms that net. He gets there, shoots and noone there to pick up any rebound chances that happen. I know he's a fast skater and needs one right along with him on those chances.
The shootout should've started with Brown and then JJ. Brown was playing hard and JJ won the last shootout we had...
BakoCACondorsKingsFan,
I watched the play a few times in the slow motion replay they showed and it looked to me like the puck did hit Quick's skate and change direction slightly. HOWEVER, the official ruling I believe is that the forward motion of the puck must be continued so since the puck was tipped it still continued in a forward motion and so the second tip to put it in for good would be legal and still count. The rule is to stop players from trying to jam in rebounds so that they get one shot only and as I saw it he went to make the move, got the puck tipped, then put it in the net so I believe it was fine.
