Preissing update, etc.
Tom Preissing is back on the ice, having overcome whatever mysterious issue caused his dizziness at the start of the last road trip. Terry Murray said all of Preissing's tests came back OK and that Preissing is feeling better. I didn't get a chance to talk to him, because I had to head upstairs to talk with Dean Lombardi, but Murray said Preisssing had a similar incident last season. I don't remember that, but regardless...weird. No lineup changes tonight.
The Lombardi interview lasted more than an hour, and there's some really good stuff. It's going to take quite a while to transcribe, so I think I'll post it all tomorrow, throughout the day. Topics discussed included: Lombardi's philosophy at the trade deadline (long-term deals? rent-a-players?), the ferocity of the trade market right now, how many GMs he is talking to, whether not making the playoffs would be a disappointment, his progress in filling the famous ``boxes,'' evaluating prospects and identifying ``can't-trade'' players, Frolov's status in terms of being a ``core'' player, Jack Johnson's contract negotiations, team/NHL economics, Jonathan Quick, Jonathan Bernier, Brian Boyle, Michael Cammalleri, fighting in the NHL and Lombardi's pick for most surprising King this season.
Finally, if you have Sirius-XM radio, I'll be on the NHL channel just after 3 p.m. today, and we'll do a live game chat here tonight for those who like to participate.

Please stop the annoying Kiaser Premanente pop up ads!!! They drive me nuts!!! I don't mind ads on the side, but pop ups that do not stop popping up are infuriating.Could be a deal breaker...

Are there really widespread problems with this pop-up ad? I'm honestly not trying to be insensitive here, and I know ads can be annoying, but do people not have pop-up blockers on their browsers? I've been on three different computers and tried several different browsers, and I've yet to experience any problem.
If it's a problem for many of you, I'll try to get our online people to look at it. I have no control over the ads.

rich... yes, it is a huge problem. not every time i log on, but almost every time. even when you click the close button, it pops up again and again and again. really, really annoying. i have kaiser and almost want to dump because of this frackin' ad.
on a more peaceful note, i live in encino, i'm off today due to the holiday and my computer desk overlooks the north valley. there is a beautiful rainbow rocketing over the 101 freeway right now. good omen for the kings. rain is clearing up before we all make our trek down to staples. nice.
Maybe it's a browser problem. I use Mozilla and I've never had one iota of a problem with any pop ups.
Kaiser ad is getting me too. Not all the time though.

regarding pop-ups: didn't even know this site had pop-ups. never had one come up when visiting the blog. i'm running safari with the built-in blocker.

Pop ups Gone

I run Mozilla Firefox with AdBlock Plus. I've never seen a pop-up since the day I've installed it.

Using Opera and I've never seen a pop-up on this blog.
I visit the site dozens of times a day and have done so for the last year and I have not once had a pop-up...I use Internet Explorer and Firefox...
Mac/Leopard, Firefox and Safari, no popups.
