Quick question

Here's something I thought was funny from this morning's skate. Someone asked Jonathan Quick if he envisioned at the beginning of the season that the Kings would make the playoffs. As you guys know, Quick wasn't playing with the Kings then.
``I wasn't around at the beginning of the season, so I don't know how the team felt about that,'' he said. ``Since I've been here, it's been a goal of ours. It's something that's realistic. We're fighting to get in there.''

If you're on an NHL team and you don't think you can make it or don't strive to make it, you're not worth any of the money they pay you.

Obviously there are expectations from inside and outside and there are realisms to go with that but you should ALWAYS believe you can or you never will.

Training camp is called training camp because it precedes the season. The beginning of the season is when they start counting games, and Quick was not on the team. If you really want to be technical Marc, that is it.

A bit off subject, but it's nice to see R. Clune and M.A. Cliche healthy and back playing for the Monarchs. Looking forward into seeing both play in a Kings uniform in the future, the near future... GO KINGS!

Perhaps because before he showed up, Labs was sucking the wind out of everyones sails by his goaltending. Since Quick has been here, they've been better. (Not counting the games where they looked sloppy and like the beginning of the season.)
