Boston practice photos

Boston reader Mark, who supplied yesterday's practice report, also took some pictures that I've been able to size and post. You can take a look at the Boston University arena (scheduled to host the NCAA women's Frozen Four) and a couple shots of the Kings in action...

I am not happy. I e-mailed the Kings and they told me that the team would not arrive in Boston until Wed. and they would not practice here. I would have loved to take my son to Agganis Arena to watch them practice (he had the day off from school anyway).

Glad Mark got to go but I'm a bit peeved.

Glad you mentioned that was the women's frozen four. I was looking at that and scratching my head and thought it was left over from years past. I have tickets to the men, here in DC this year.

next time you're better off asking Rich than the Kings. Rich was this a closed practice? or just off the radar? I don't see any other people

I wouldn't expect their front office to know (or be willing to tell) anything since they're too busy sipping their lattes

I have pictures from the game in Vancouver last weekend if you're interested in posting them.

Come on, Brian. The Kings front office has their flaws, but not issuing press releases about a practice session on the road isn't one of them.

(a) There's MAYBE one person out living in (or visiting) Boston who might be interested. Hardly an efficient use of LAK office employee time.

(b) The BU arena isn't staffed for visitors to wander in/around during non-game events/hours. It's not like TSC where there is security, management, zambonis drivers, hockey coaches, figure skating coaches, and rink attendants 18 hours/day to keep an eye on things.

Gotta learn to pick your battles.

Mark here. Fortunately I did email Rich and he happily replied with the info on the BU practice. Rich had already had posted that the Kings left at 8am on Tuesday on this blog.

Took a bit of investigative work (BU has the new Agganis and old Walter Brown arena) as the folks at BU were not so forthcoming with practice time info but I put things together and saw a spirited hour and a half practice.

There were about 20 people there but it certainly was not well publicized, but once I got there at the correct time they had no issue with letting me in.

Unfortunately yesterdays game day skate was at the Garden so I couldn't get Rich goalie info etc....but WHAT A COMEBACK!

see? like I said, ask Rich. if he doesn't know, he'll find out.

I don't consider this a battle, I'm just saying if you ask 10 people with the Kings you're likely to get 8 different answers depending who is answering the phone or emails. that's just the nature of things
