Moller out? Injury? Getting sent back to juniors?

Sucks for Moller. I couldn't help but noticed that ever since he returned to the lineup, he's been getting pushed around easily. Don't get me wrong, Moller works hard each and every shift and still does a great job. But he needs to learn how to avoid getting hit and getting bullied out there on the ice.

What the heck? Moller made the play off the faceoff that led to Frolov's goal. And he gets benched? How about benching Westgarth or Ivanans? Or even Frolov who's inattentiveness to defense led to the 3rd goal?

No, just a match up change. Calder is more suited for a bigger team. I would have liked to see Goat scratched, Harrold moved back to D and Moller moved up to the 2nd line, but it is what it is. Roller coaster BaBy!!!

The more I watch Harrold play, I like his performance, good, but not great, but also not bad. That said, I don't want to see him on the first or second line, Moller could could take that spot.

"match ups" people .. "match ups" - the kings must go BIG for the sharks who unlike the kings, all their players are big and fast and physical. Moller is not a good fit for this game. Remember, the only way the kings win this game is in the trenches, in front of the crease, knocking in dirty goals from rebounds, or banging the boards and hitting guys in the slots. As for Ivanans and Westgarth, they need to knock some guys on their arses and make the sharks hesitate even for a second when they get the puck .. if the kings come out flat like last night, allow the sharks to knock them off the puck, get to the puck faster, win the physical match-ups, the kings will be playing catch-up the whole game. Now who's with me?? Let's kick some shark ass!!!

Wow, thanks TM. This just proves that he's given up on this team.. Mannnn, what's he thinking benching Moller? He's been playing SO well.. jeeez

I think TM sat Moller previously against the Sharks, too. Which is not a good sign for Oscar. What does it say if you can't play against all teams, especially the best?

This coach is polluted.
Even though Moller is weak on the puck, he's still a scoring threat.
Calder is a nothing.

Thanks for the update Rich.
You keep us posted on everything and we appreciate it.

It means Moller is barely 20 years old, still has several years before he fills out.

Calder is enough of a scoring threat that I'm ok with this move. If you can't see the size advantage by placing Calder in the line up, you need to pay more attention to the game on the ice and not just ppg stats.

AH yes...matchups. That is why we dressed two enforcers against VANCOUVER....right...???

I'm not really qualified to second guess an NHL coach's lineup decisions, but, eh, why not Harrold out, Moller in?

Or, if Murray thinks he needs seven Dmen, or Harrold on the PP, why not Westgarth out?

AK47 - Wow you really like to stir the pot. This is not a "Benching" this is match ups and a healthy scratch. Geeze the sky is falling, the sky is falling!!!

Anthony, do you say anything supportive of the Kings? Seems like you always have something negative to say. Maybe you should choose another team to root for.

Quick is young and every goalie is going to have an off day, especially early in their careers. Calder is a good player. I don't get all the negative comments about him.

The one I think should be out is Ivanans and it should be Westgarth playing. Seems like he added a spark during that winning streak when Ivanans was out.

Benching Moller
what is tm thinking??
he is a good player

and ersberg starting is a good sign

Jeez man did you people not see the highlights og the third goal. It was mollers puck watching that led to them falling behind 3-2 after having tied the damn game up. It was a three on three which then resulted in a give and go play for which moller was completely beat on (while being in good position) by being flat footed. He was directly responsible for the 3rd goal which was the momentum shifter. This is why he was scratched, not for his physical stature or for what the team needs!! I doubt that TM doesnt know that Calder is not much of an improvement (offensively) over moller.

This is the reason I appreciate Calder so much. Most of you think Calder is big or bigger than he really is, guess what, Moller 182lbs, Calder......180lbs, according to the Yahoo roster sheet. I'm one of the few who likes having Calder on the team. He brings what he can every night, and I like that.

Quisp Author Profile Page said:

I actually think of Calder as smaller than he is. Which he is.

Even Great goalies have an off night when their team is being outshot 21-2 and 5 steps behind getting to the puck and have SLOWWWWWWW D-men, ask Sir Patrick when Detroit scored 11 on him. Must be some "OLD" time fans here because they ALWAYS blame the goaltender, it's never a missed assignment by their favorite player.

Sounds like a game where the Kings could use a Justin Williams on one of the wings! Can't wait to see what he will bring to the line up! =) I hope it's the energy & effort of Calder, but with better hands and better finishing ability.
