Monday practice update

A couple things coming out of today's practice...

-- Alexander Frolov skated this morning, before the Kings practiced, but he will not play tomorrow. Terry Murray said that Frolov will participate in tomorrow's morning skate, which will be held at Staples Center because the team is taking its official group photo. Frolov's ``lower-body injury'' is a groin strain.

-- Kyle Quincey missed practice because of a doctor appointment. For those who might not be aware, Quincey has been dealing with a back injury since before the Kings acquired him from Detroit. The Kings have known, all along, that Quincey will likely need back surgery during the offseason, but Quincey has played through the periodic discomfort. He is expected to play tomorrow.

I have some quotes from Murray about a variety of subjects, so I'll be posting that stuff as I have time to do so...

hope kyle is alright...not much left to play for this year except for pride...which is a pretty good thing...
but if it means resting quincey in lieu of him fully recovering, time for a call up...there are plenty to choose from...

wonder who fro will skate with when he comes back...?

lots of good possibilities there...

Variable--Any team we might be able to beat and help keep out of the playoffs, in our remaining games? And, think St. Louis will make the playoffs?

Oh great, just one more reason for certain people to pick apart DL for aquiring a known injury. Can I say that without offending anyone, Rich?

BAKO...

i guess the only one i can see us really hurting directly would be...sully and the oilers since we play them on april 7...

otherwise, i really don't see us making a huge impact...

if we are able to beat calgary or vancouver, maybe we can change the positioning a bit...

i don't think the oilers are going to make it in...

and it would be great to see andy murray and the blues make it...they are currently in 8th, ahead of the quacks...i mean...ducks....

what do you think...?

Well, let's see...

I think we've already played a large role in keeping out Dallas, and we've hindered the Ducks.
Same thing for St. Louis.

Bet the Kings determine the winner of Calgary versus Vancouver in the Northwest. Seems they occasionally beat the Canucks but they can't beat Calgary to save their lives. I'm rooting for Calgary over Vancouver...

Oh, and I almost hate Edmonton as much as I hate the Ducks...

......POS notwithstanding!

y'know...if there's one sport that the home team advantage means a little bit less than it does in others, i think it's hockey....i guess you can argue that if those two canadian teams meet in the first round, home ice means a bit more than it would usually, but teams these days are so used to these type of circumstances, i just don't think it would have such a big impact...

i like columbus, nashville, vancouver and st. louis to make it in...exactly how the standings read as of now...

Funny--look at the standings and the teams 8-12 were all teams the Kings could and did beat. Kings couldn't beat 14 or 15 often enough (Phoenix and Colorado). Kings couldn't beat 1-3 at all (SJ, Det, Calgary).

I guess the Kings will know they are competitive when they are not a combined 0-9-3 against the Evil Troika...

...one game to go, Calgary.
