O'Sullivan vs. Kings
Here's what Patrick O'Sullivan said, in the Associated Press game preview, about facing the Kings tonight...
``It's a weird feeling,'' O'Sullivan said. ``Once (Tuesday) comes and I start thinking about the game, I probably won't feel too worried about it. But it will be weird. I was there for almost three years and have a lot of friends on the other team. It's a situation I haven't been through before. So it'll be new. At the end of the day, it's a game and there's no friends on the ice and we need a win. So that's what it comes down to.''

What would be weirder is if he and Williams both scored tonight.
I'd like to see brown crush him. Just cuz.
Brown won't crush him. Everyone liked Sully and everyone in that room knows he got the shaft.
"At the end of the day, the Kings lost out on another great player"
Cammy showed us like night why he's elite and we aren't

everyone in that room knows what sweater he is wearing tonight too. They aren't making cupcakes.
And remember just how "elite" squid is when he is playing in Toronto next season. Good yes, Elite, uh no.
WWAMD,
who are you quoting? Yourself?
Also, I understand they are all friendly, but if the team needs a spark, and Brown has a line at O'Sullivan, I would be severely dissapointed in him as a player and ESPECIALLY as Captain if he didn't take a run at him. Not saying he should go out of his way, but feeling sorry for Sully should not in any way deter Brown from playing his game. If he let his feelings for Sully alter the way he plays his game in ANY WAY, he needs to have the C torn off his sweater. Sully himself said it, "There's no friends on the ice."
what are the lines tonight
They're pro Hockey players. If Brown needs to flatten Sully, especially out of a play, he would, and think nothing of it. I would.
Think the meeting yesterday after the Calgary humiliation mentioned anything about Cams?
Cams always speaks of the Kings in condescending 'second division' tones; the team should've been more motivated playing him.
O'Sullivan is trying to be diplomatic, but maybe that bad +/- since joining Edmonton keeps his tongue in check.
i wish the best for p.o.s....
i hope he finds his game with the oilers next season and becomes the player he's capable of being....
cammy is...and will always be....a gun for hire...
he can put up goals and points...but that's about it...
i just got done making this point on a previous thread:
does scoring help? uh...yeah...of course...
would a top-flight scorer make an impact? probably...yes...
but...
i truly believe that for every high-impact score sheet player we add, we also need to add a high-impact non-score sheet player...
the detroit red wings would be the team i would like us to model/mentor after...
they have this formula down pat...and look how it's worked for them in procuring their image and legacy...
they are winners...they won't settle for anything less than the cup...and that's every year...
we need to embody that attitude first before we can start winning and thwart a new legacy...
look at the ducks in 2007...
now, look at the ducks of 2009...
do you see the difference?
do you see that winning just once doesn't change anything in the long run?
it's a philosophy...a creed...a mantra...whatever you want to call it...that has to be burned into the brains and performances of our players, from the top "box" (as d.l. calls 'em) to the bottom one...
we need this type of religion in our organization...!
It's going to be a nice battle to watch. Williams vs. O'Sullivan.
