like his speed, his hands and what appears to be maturity...
i've seen a lot of his play over the last year or so...matt always has his motor on...a bit parise-like in his perpetual motion...he has great hockey sense and i like how he hits the open seams out there every chance he gets...
his size is a bit in question...and knowing the trees that d.l. like to cultivate and harvest, that might be going against him if he's still around for us to pick him...
but another good pick for us to consider if he's still around by then...
I would take this guy in a heartbeat if he was passed to 5th.
I've been doing some reading on this guy, and also saw some of his goals and plays. You know who reminds me of?
Bernie Nichols
So, we'd have lots of the "ex-Kings" spots covered. We'd have:
Duchene=Nichols
Greene=Norstrom
Doughty=Coffey
Quick=Hrudey(Quick with a little less flop, well a lot less actually)
Brown=Kurri(more hits version)
Kopitar=Gretzky(poor mans version, minus a couple of cups)

O'Donnell=Hardy
I saw this guy play last week in Brampton. Before the game he was warming up on the ice in just his work out clothes and his shoes and was showing some unbelievable stick handling ability. He looks to be a great leader on the ice as well. I would love for the Kings to get this guy.
All I've got to say is:
Speed, Speed, SPEED!
Speed kills!
Penalty killing ain't bad, either. Gotta love them short-handed goals!
This guy makes me hungry for next season to begin now!
If Duchene is still available at No. 5, we've gotta take him. Goes to the net, a great skater, good soft hands and a very nice shot. Also a two way skater, what more could ask for???
