Do the media that vote even watch hockey? I love Brown but he's NOT been even close to the MVP of this team this year.

Great game today. Quick was on his game and it was nice to see Fro score another one.

Lets hope they extend him and keep him around.

Are these awards rigged? Why not just give Brown all of the awards including "Best Disappearing Act" down the stretch drive.

dustin brown was NOT our mvp...

love him...have some sympathy for his family issues...and his recently disclosed injury...but...

no...yr weren't even close to the FULL SEASON mvp...

i think rich's unofficial poll(s) were very accurate in assessing whom should have won the team awards...

i think all the voters who participated in the polls and on the blog deserve raises for getting it unofficially officially right...

oh, wait...we don't get paid....shucks...!

fine...give each other a pat on the back...

...even anthony (uy, yuy, yuy!)

This just proves that just because they are label the "media" doesn't mean they know squat about hockey or the Kings (present company excluded, of course.)

I guess things are so bad in the media that the high school reporter also doubles as the volleyball reporter and the hockey reporter. Can't be an expert in all three categories, can you.

I was watching the game against SJ and heard the name "Brown" and "MVP" in the same sentence and almost fell off my couch.

I actually rewinded the Tivo TWICE to make sure I heard that right! W T F! and I'm a Dustin Brown fan! we can only assume this was for "leadership qualities" and because he was goin through traumatic family issues, not actually anything that happened on the ice. because Brown would probably be the first to tell you he didn't have a good season. in fact by most measures he had a pretty bad season. it also diminishes what Frolov and to a lesser degree Kopi did... but this continues the long streak of Frolov always getting a raw deal from the local media and confirms his standing as one of the most underrated players in the league.

he got two other awards, why give him the most prestigious one the team hands out, just for kicks? that just makes you look like the dumb hacks that you are.

they did get best defenseman and newcomer correct, but c'mon those were gimmes for Doughty, though Quick was also in the running for the latter.
