I would have put Doughty here if I didnt already give him best newcomer
doughty...
quincey and o.d. get honorable mention
it has to be drew...well deserving...
Yeah, Doughty is best newcomer, so I voted for Greene. I would consider Greene even if I hadn't already put Doughty as newcomer. Greene has been solid and a beast for the whole season. He had a small skid in December I think it was, but other than that he's been so strong and so smart positionally. Doughty has been a better hockey player, but strictly defensively speaking I think Greene has been our best, followed by a tie with Doughty and OD.
I chose Greene (Doughty can't win everything). I think the blocked shot via the face against Vancouver sums up his gritty play.
Greene
Drew Dought is going to get a lot of awards, but in an effort to spread the praise around, I'd give this award to Greene too.
I put Greene because that picture of him all bloody congratulating Quick after whatever game that was just says it all.
I agree with others, Doughty can't win them all, so I went with Quincey. I feel he has a more rounded game than Greene.
From my neck of the woods we have something called the "Animal" award. This award goes to the individual who leaves body parts and chunks of their soul on the playing field every game. That's where I place Greene. This award commands as much respect as MVP. I appreciate the effort Mr. Greene.
duck - love the Animal award.
Rich - Could you put up a poll for "The Animal" award? That would be a great one to take back to the King's coaching staff.
Tie. Doughty and Greene.
Voted for Quincey. Been the most solid all year and never knew he was pending a back operation
Doughty, hands down.
Greene wins the Animal beyond a shadow of a doubt! He's also a personal hero of mine for that face save. A few days after I was playing in a hockey game and was in pretty much the exact same situation and I thought of Greener and quickly strted to put my head down again. The puck hit me on the front of my helmet! Thanks Greener!
Yes, Doughty can win everything if he is good enough to deserve it...and he is.
Who are these people voting for Gauthier!? Probably "Ol' Give Away" himself and family members.
I chose Greene, I would have chose Doughty, but I voted for him as best newcomer, he can't win every thing.
