Kings take Brandon Kozun

With their second sixth-round pick (No. 179), the Kings selected right winger Brandon Kozun from Calgary of the WHL. Kozun is listed at 5-foot-8 and 162 pounds and is listed as being born in Los Angeles. Kozun, 19, had 40 goals and 68 assists in 72 games last season.

Kings must have seen this kid lots since the have Martin Jones, the Hitman goalie. He does have impressive offensive numbers despite his size. This could help that 5-on-5 in a couple of years.

I watched this kid in the WHL finals last year against my Rockets and he is FAAAAAST!! That's what stood out about him for me, plus he scored some big goals for them. And even though he is small, he didn't seem to shy away from the physical part of the game. Great pick.
