Rich,

What happened to the #119 pick? Did it get traded?

All I see on the boards are this:
Rd4 "28 (119) -- -- Los Angeles Kings --"

From previous update...``The Kings traded two of their later fourth-round picks (Nos. 117 and 120) to Atlanta to get the No. 95 pick they used on J.F. Berube.''

Daniel said:

Nevermind. Guess some draft boards count Toronto's forfeited pick as #118. So the one I was referring to was the #120 they sent to ATL.

Brian Boyle to NYR for a 2010 3rd Rd pick... That's it????

DL definitely did a good job in maximizing BB's trade value (not so much)

Rich: From Kings Twitter Account:

Boyle deal done. Heading to Rangers for a third rounder in 2010. Also, Dean just left the table and is talking to murray again. DE

***brother Matt Pelech is a defenseman for the Calgary Flames (2005 1st round draft pick, Calgary’s first pick, 26th overall)

NOTES:

-Acquired in a trade with Kitchener on August 24, 2006 for now top New Jersey Devils prospect Matt Halischuck and a 7th round draft pick
-drafted in the 1st round of the OHL Entry Draft by the Kitchener Rangers (17th overall)
-played his minor hockey for the North York Canadiens, Toronto Young Nats and the Toronto Marlies (teammate of NHLer Sam Gagner, 2009 1st overall pick ot the NHL John Tavares, and prospects Akim Aliu (Chicago), Justin Vaive (Anaheim), Bryan Cameron (Los Angeles), and Brendan Smith (Detroit)
-he played Tier 2 hockey with the St.Michaels Buzzers (teammate of Edmonton Oilers’ rising star Andrew Cogliano in 2004-05 campaign) and with the team he had 45 points in 70 games (including playoffs) [ontariohockeyleague.com]
-scored his first OHL goal Dec. 9th 2005 against Sudbury [ontariohockeyleague.com]
-he recorded his 100th career point Mar. 6th 2008 in a 4 point game against Oshawa [ontariohockeyleague.com]

-Pelech is a determined, hard working player who trains extremely hard in the off-season to get himself better and stronger each year. He is best described as a playmaker (you gotta see the hands on this guy) with a scoring touch and at NHL-ready size and strength (6’3, 206 lbs) he will make an immediate impact at Manchester in the AHL…perhaps playing with Clune and Meckler on a line. In addition, Pelech is one of the most well liked players on the Majors (players AND fans) and derives leadership from this intramural respect. He was an ‘A’ on the OHL’s 6th best team in the 2008-09 Majors campaign and in addition to leading the team in points, he was second on the team in PIMs with 121. An overall, very well-balanced and highly skilled player who should, by all indications, prove to be a very underrated prospect.
