Very interesting to see Braun's name on the list. I guess he is still property of the Kings. Also there aren't any out of the organization invitees this year. Guess LA finally has enough "assets" to fill up the camp.

To add to the Braun comment, I believe he is a LW as well. He's listed as such on hockey's future and that's what I'm going off of. If he has since switched to D I apologize Rich, but I know it happens.

Wanted to see that Hextall Comment video...Guess the Kings aren't ready to release it after all.

Quick goes too, huh? I guess he hasn't "graduated" yet...

Bummer, its so short, but at least I won't feel like I'm missing things all week long.

I believe Braun was switched to D last year while playing in Germany. Maybe it was a way to get him in the lineup ala Harrold except in reverse. Big kid and said to have a decent shot on net, but is a looong shot to ever play for LA.

Marko said:

Rich, thanks for being on top of this - great work man, much appreciated

Braun has played both LW and D over the last three seasons.

Rich, for the blog readers, wonder if you could get Dean to explain the change in format, strategy behind it. Seems to me they would want to maximize the days after going to trouble of gathering the kids in LA. Also the scrimmage is a good marketing opportunity during the slow summer months

At least one of the local teams got tougher: RON ARTEST!

I dont think Patrick Mullen is a defenseman.

Didn't we use to play against the yotes, ducks, and sharks rookies at the end of the week?

-J Author Profile Page said:

Mullen plays both defense and forward.

Ike said:

Looking at this it is evident we will need to start drafting more and more forwards. Schenn is just the start.

Barada Author Profile Page said:

I hope they reconsider and schedule
a camp-ending scrimmage.

I, for one, will be disappointed if
there isn't one.

Let the boys skate!!!!!!!!

Seems like the format change is a cost cutting move. Too bad. I was planning to go Monday. I MIGHT sneak down there Friday, but I can't go next weekend.

I wouldn't have expected to see Quick at the development camp. And I'm also curious about the changes as well.

I heard that the Kings invited FA defenseman Ben Shutron to their development camp though I do not see his name on the list..
