Awesome. Guy was a monster in the playoffs...time to package JJ for a winger!
I wonder how many people fighting about no signings in the other thread have bothered to see this yet.
Way to keep us in the loop Rich, not high on my list, but he seems solid.
I like this (eventual) signing. I think he and Greene would make a formidable shutdown D-Pairing and this makes JJ an expendable asset to get a Heatley or Kovalchuk.
Nice to see "The Piece" come over to the Kings. I just wished that he was on the roster a wee bit earlier than this though.
This is a very very good signing, I've seen quite a bit of Scuderi over the last couple years and have not one bad thing to say about him. Good job Dean.
I heard the deal was 4 years at 13.6. Solid move.
Finally something...I dont know much about him, but from what I've seen of him on Pit I like. He seems like at least he would be a major upgrade over Gauthier. Dont we need some offensive support though? I hope we can find someone either UFA or via trade to give us some more offensive threats...
if we do get 'The Piece' i'll be pretty frigging psyched.
scuderi's wiki page now says he's a king
Kovalev or Tanguay next anyone?
I love it. We haven't had a true shut down warrior d-man since Norstrom. He will give whoever he is paired with room for offense or we can make a true shut-down pair. 4 years at $3.4M isn't bad at all.
So I think this maybe it for JJ, Dreweski played pretty good at the end of they year and will hopefully improve more. JJ is an asset we can use to help get some scoring. Too bad because I like JJ.
Pittsburgh Tribune-Review confirms! Great upgrade from Gauts.
Scuderi and Hal Gill were the D on the ice whenever Ovechkin's line was out in the playoffs, not a bad mark on the resume. Solid pickup.
I would also like to see Tanguay as the next pickup and let the kids play after that.
With all the proposals and whining I don't believe I saw anyone throw this out. We should have though...he's the DL type, he's the TM type, and he just won the cup.

"...he's the DL type, he's the TM type, and he just won the cup."
Amen to that!
I'm very happy to see Dean-o ensure that the "Scud Missle" has landed in LA. Good job, Lombardi!
I love it when Anthonyy and his cast of clowns are quiet.
What a horrible signing! What was DL thinking! This Piece is just DL's obsession with the state of Pennsylvania- first Philadelphia and now Pittsburg! This Scud has just made the Kings a better defensive team, that is not good!
Just Kidding, just a little sarcasm of to what Anthonyy and AK47 may come up with next.
Great signing and good job Lombardi!
