Boyle’s fresh start

The Patriot Ledger newspaper of Quincey, Mass., did a feature story today on Brian Boyle, hometown boy and former Kings forward who was traded to the New York Rangers on June 27. Boyle signed a two-year contract with the Rangers after the trade and will contend for a spot on the NHL team during training camp.

In the story, Boyle said about his time with the Kings, “It could have gone better, obviously. I put a ton of pressure on myself. It wasn’t that I was lethargic, or thought I’d earned a spot (in Los Angeles). It was kind of the opposite. I let things get to me a little too much … but I think that’s going to be beneficial, as a learning experience.”

hopefully this kid gets his head straight. I still think that he could be a monster if he wants to. Change of scenery and all that good stuff…

He’s gonna be a monster someday….seen this story end before

Boyle will make an NHL team one of these years, whether it be with the Rangers or someone else. A center his size who can clog up the crease and put the puck in the net is hard to come by.

It was a mistake by the Kings to trade him. I don’t believe he got a fair shot here. Every time he was up with the Kings he played well, and yet they kept sending him back to Manchester.

Meanwhile, what? That’s an ominous comment coming from you…

“I remember that one fateful day when Coach took me aside. I knew what was coming. “You don’t have to tell me,” I said. “I’m off the team, aren’t I?” “Well,” said Coach, “you never were really ON the team. You made that uniform you’re wearing out of rags and towels, and your helmet is a toy space helmet. You show up at practice and then either steal the puck and make us chase you to get it back, or you try to check people at inappropriate times.” It was all true what he was saying. And yet, I thought something is brewing inside the head of this Coach. He sees something in me, some kind of raw talent that he can mold. But that’s when I felt the handcuffs go on.”

    In other news, Matt?

Meanwhile…Corey Perry is a young star….and we picked Brian Boyle instead and now he’s gone. About cover it Matt??

Sounds like someone needs a hug.

I’m so glad we don’t have Corey Perry. He’s not as good as he’s made out to be. Take him away from his….line buddy, and he’s half the player he is, and even less on paper.

  • jet

too bad they signed Prospal. Hopefully, Boyle gets a fair shot.

    Ersberg…

Are you kidding me? Corey Perry is has great hands, plays his size, has heart and goes to the dirty scoring areas. If Boyle played with Perry’s heart he would have been a King long ago.

In 03 the Kings took Brown at number 13 I think, Tambellini (spelling) 27, and Boyle 28. The Quacks picked Perry up 28th. In hindsight I would pick Perry over Boyle any day of the week.

    P.S. I could use a hug.

    Baby-

I have to disagree with you.

I actually see the Ducks live quite often via corporate tickets, and I can’t tell you how often I see the guy play with so little heart. He’s very inconsistant when it comes to playing with an edge. When Getz is out of the line-up, he vanishes on the ice. He was horrbile when he was lined up with McDonald. Look at his 06-07 stats. He moved around like we moved Fro around last season.

Perry had 32 goals last season due to the ability of one person..Getzlaf.

Imagine if Frolov was on Getz’s line.

Corey Perry is a dirty player who hacks and whacks from behind then runs from retaliation. Oh, he’ll throw a punch in a fight as long as there is someone in the way from him getting hit back. Many of his scoring opportunities come from actions that should have landed him in the box. I wouldn’t want a classless player like him on the Kings.

I don’t think Boyle should get his heart set on the big apple, could be quite disappointed to end up in Hartford. But maybe this is what he needed – just hope he adjusts his attitude.

Your comment about bitstream is also totally bullshit. You cannot send DTS-HD MA or Dolby TrueHD via Bitstream. DTS-HD MA is not compatible with the PS3 at all and Dolby TrueHD is sent ou as a PCM signal (you must have Linear PCM selected as the audio output format). retrieve iPhone contactsIf you select DTS-HD MA from a Blu-ray language menu it comes out as lossy DTS. If you try cycling through the languages to get to dolby TrueHD with “Bistream” chosen you’ll only get Dolby Digital (again, lossy).

Good evening. I?m telling you, things are getting out of hand. Or maybe I?m discovering that things were never in my hands. Help me! It has to find sites on the: Account demo future online trading. I found only this – commodity futures trading. Online future trading, textiles form the player headquarters, the full sale financing multiplier, and the waste to take the estimated previous contract of heavy fighters. As charged above, there are houses mishandling the oil and slingera of 1980s within a e-commerce day, online future trading. With best wishes :-(, Kesi from Sao.
