Stoll's surprising pain
Who knew a 26-year-old man could get arthritis? Not me, but just reading about it on Wikipedia made my joints start to hurt a little. Jarret Stoll has been dealing with the condition for approximately six weeks, with the pain most pronounced his his right wrist, but Stoll said he's not worried about missing time.
``The story is that it's getting better every day,'' Stoll said. ``By no means am I expecting to miss the start of the season. The way I'm thinking, I'll probably play next week.''
Stoll said he started experiencing symptoms in early August, but has not felt any side effects from the medication he is taking to calm the symptoms.
``Within two days, I started feeling better,'' Stoll said. ``I was stepping out of bed instead of rolling out of bed.''

Uh oh!! Not good news. How is he going to be a world class athelete with a worsening chronic condition? I feel for the guy along with a Kings organization that seems to be cursed. What a bummer.
Get the man some Glucosamine/Chondrotin. It did wonders for my mother-in-law.
Hey Rich
Can you find out what early August day the pain hit Mr. Stoll. I seen him drinking some beers at a Tragically Hip Concert here in Saskatoon on August 4th. He seemed to be in no pain what so ever.
I'm 26, in athletic shape (not like Stoll, of course) and am slightly arthritic in my right wrist. Doesn't sound like it's as bad as his, however, as it's more pronounced when I do pushups or if it involves putting stress on it. I also have plantar fasciitis but handle this with pantothenic acid and vitamin C, per my natural medicine doc's recommendation. Hope Stoll finds an effective way to cope with it. The old people were really right when they said arthritis prevents you from doing things you used to do. Who knew?:)
I blame Rachel Hunter. Rumor has it that she's a Succubus...
There was some guy named Sandy Koufax who developed arthritis in his elbow in his late 20's, which led to his eventual retirement at age 30. I think he might have been a baseball player...
It's his right wrist? Wonder if this has anything to do with him breaking up with Rachel hunter.
What!? I'm just sayin.
Just an FYI Rich, but anyone at any age can get arthritis. There are over 100 different types of arthritis going by the last list I looked at. I was diagnosed with Rheumatoid Arthritis at age 25, but had symptoms from the time I was about 8. Since then I have met many kids with it and other things that fall under the arthritis umbrella. But with athletes the arthritis everyone thinks of when they hear the word is usually osteoarthritis which usually comes on at an older age or with athletes much younger.
