Doughty isn't on the roster for the road game at Phoenix?

Hey Rich, looking at your roster for tomorrow night at Staples, you have Doughty playing, but according to your posted roster of yesterday for the Phoenix game, Doughty is playing there too. I know he's Superman and all, but . . .

Sweet.

All the lines/players I wanted to see.

I hope Phoenix sends some of their better players.

Good catch! It appears that Doughty has been replaced on the road-game roster by Alec Martinez.

Moller-Loktionov-Purcell....

Are you a religious man? That looks like an answer to your prayers

Any internet or radio for either of the gasmes tonight?

Is it a 7:30 start time tonight?

For those who have XM Radio, the Hockey This Morning show will be doing their preview of the Kings tomorrow (Wednesday) morning. They haven't said yet who they'll be interviewing, but my guess would be Jim Fox.

Wow this is a sick lineup

Doughty-Hickey

That's a sick offensive pairing. I hope Hickey makes it. I'd love to see those two paired during clutch times when the Kings need goals. The offensive flury these two could generate would be awesome to see.

Moller/Loktionov/Purcell. Good deal. I would like to see eight points from that line tonight.

Huh? Quick isn't on the roster for either game?

Thanks for all of your work Rich. You keep us working stiffs informed and it's hard to keep track of things. We have the one stop shop for all that is Kings hockey right here!

Much appreciated!

I think the most interesting aspect of this line-up is the positioning of Moller. If we start seeing him in the LW spot consistantly, Its very likely we see him alongside Brown and Stoll. Fro has been used to shut down the other teams best line up. With Frolov/Zeus/Simmonds, you have a shut down line that can break out for scoring at anytime.

DBargaehr said:

Harrold can center too? Let's strap some pads on him and see how he plays goal while we're at it.

Hopefully I'll see you at the Sharks game on Thursday, Rich!

Quisp...why not go for 20...they can do it! ;-)

Timoteo said:

Fro, Handzus, Simmonds is a really interesting line. Three players who all use their bodies well. Frolov tends to be somewhat of an individual player with the puck, Handzus and Simmonds would be able to help with a grinding possession game and in being strong going to the net. Simmonds showed some pretty good stick skills last year, i would not be surprised to see his goals increase this year.
So with Smyth, Anze, Williams and Dustin being clear top 6, and if Fro really plays with a shutdown line, that would mean Stoll and some kids vying for 2 top 6 spots.

Time for the Playmakers to deliver a message:

This year, we will take over games, put pressure on the other team and SCORE!

Playmakers, make plays!

Teubert and Westgarth...I feel bad for the Yotes.

Harrold? Are you kidding? Let someone else play, he blows. Poor Clune & Wesgarth, with a puxxy at center. Piskula? Are you serious? Let some other new rookie D play. Harrold & Piskula are a waste of time. zzzzz..
Not a way for top brass to start games at training camp.

Good luck to the boys and lets hope they stay healthy during the pre season.

Took a look at the TV schedule.
ewwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww lets hope the center ice package includes those games not being televised locally.

nykingsfan, re TV schedule:

two words: HIGH DEFINITION.

I've been made painfully aware of how much better the games are on HD..ufortunately I still have a regular TV and until it breaks the old lady will not allow me to get an HD...A couple of years ago my house was broken into...the 1st question I asked was "did they take the TV? As an LA Kings and Cinn.Bengals fan, the answer was obvious NO!
I've already thought about how to break it...if I do, its possible she breaks my neck.
This is the reason that the word MARRIAGE makes me break out in hives!

nykingfan, you are not the only one. Tell your wife there is some cash for clunkers TV program. Buy an energy star TV and claim you are saving the environment and getting a rebate. If not you can always staple the cord (not plugged in of course) and pretend it died.

The good news is, the longer you wait, the cheaper they get. My Sony HD flatscreen which I paid about $2K for four years ago is now about $500.

mrbrett7 Author Profile Page said:

NYKfan...what's your address? I'll see if I can help you out! hahahahahaha

54FIGHTING Author Profile Page said:

MARRIAGE. You ok still nykingfan? I usually get NHL Center Ice and it shows just about every game and then gives you the option to view any game that's already been played so you can go back and watch older games again.

Russ: you need to add Clifford to your list.

Timoteo: I think that last spot is for either Moller or Purcell. We'll see.

Tonight should be fun to watch! Can't wait!
I did notice that on the lakings.com website that Doughty is paired with Piskula so that Teubert and Hickey can play together.

Go Kings!

With Stollies arthritic hands I could see Moller centering the second line this year. With Brown and Purcell perhaps..too young??

Watch the interview with Oscar on lakings.com. LOVE this kid. Just the way he was talking, he didnt say he hoped to make the team, or anything. He said "I AM going to make this team and we ARE going to the playoffs. Love the confidence, could be future captain material....

I don't trust Stollies arthritic hands. IF they are ready (and thats a big if) I like Moller centring the second line with Brownie and Purcell.

watch the interview on lakings.com with Moller. LOVE this kid. He says "I AM making this team" and not arrogantly or anything, just pure confidence from this kid. Future captain material.

nykingsfan--

I'm sure that Anthonyy would let you borrow one of his spare flat screens...

;)

nykingsfan,

Sorry about that. But would you trade your Gold Kings Jersey for a FLATSCREEN TV?
