Good to see left wing Dustin Penner get an assist during Monday’s victory over the Blues in St. Louis, his first point in his fourth game of the season. That brings us to the fourth of five takeaway/giveaway in the wake of the Kings’ dominating showing:
Penner is an X-factor for the Kings. He has the size and the presence of a power forward capabl. Trouble is for most of his career he’s been in his coach’s doghouse because he hasn’t delivered as expected. Or desired. Penner spent seven of the Kings’ first 11 games as a healthy scratch because he wasn’t ready to play to his capability. Let’s see if he continues to be productive after working his way into the lineup.
