The Kings have 24 points going into tonight’s game against the St. Louis Blues. But so do the San Jose Sharks, the Blues, the Minnesota Wild, the Dallas Stars and the Detroit Red Wings, a serious logjam for the fifth spot in the Western Conference standings. Officially, the Kings (11-7-2) are fifth, the Sharks are sixth, the Blues seventh, the Wild eighth, the Stars ninth and the Red Wings 10th. In big picture it only matters for a few more hours.
