Kings trade defenseman Davis Drewiske to Montreal for a draft pick

Davis Drewiske was the odd-man out after the Kings acquired veteran defenseman Robyn  Regehr from the Buffalo Sabres for two second-round draft picks Monday. So, the Kings traded Drewiske to the Montreal Canadiens for a fifth-round pick Tuesday. Drewiske played only 20 games this season for the Kings, scoring four points (one goal, three assists). Regehr is expected to join the Kings on Wednesday. The Kings concluded a five-game trip Tuesday against the Phoenix Coyotes in Glendale, Ariz.

The NHL’s trade deadline also is Wednesday.
