Kings Stanley Cup championship ring up for auction

Hey, buddy, wanna buy a Kings Stanley Cup championship ring?

It’s for a worthy cause.

One of a limited number of Stanley Cup rings is available for auction through April 22 at CharityBuzz.com, with the proceeds going to two of the Kings’ charitable partners, Children’s Hospital Los Angeles and City Year Los Angeles.

Tiffany and Co. created the rings for the team after it won it’s first Cup in its 45-year history last June. The market value of the ring is $13,500 and features 14-carat white gold with .84 carats in round, brilliant cut diamonds. The winner of the auction will have his or her name engraved on the band.

In addition, fans can bid on a package that includes dinner for two with former Kings player Luc Robitaille, plus two tickets to the Kings’ regular-season finale against the San Jose Sharks at Staples Center on April 27, and a team jersey signed by the players.

The package is valued at $7,500.
