The Kings recalled forward Tyler Toffoli from Manchester (N.H.) of the American Hockey League on Wednesday. Toffoli, a rookie who celebrated his 21st birthday by joining the Kings for their game against the Red Wings in Detroit, recorded five points (two goals and three assists) in eight games earlier this season. The Kings sent him back to Manchester earlier this month. He has 51 points (28 goals, 23 assists) in 58 games with the Monarchs. The Kings made the move in anticipation of a suspension to team captain Dustin Brown for elbowing Jason Pominville of Minnesota in the second period of a 2-1 loss Tuesday to the Wild. Or perhaps it was simply a coincidence.
