Jonathan Quick takes the blame for the Kings’ 2-0 deficit to the Blues

Kings goaltender Jonathan Quick, the reigning Conn Smythe Trophy winner didn’t think he played up to his standards during losses to the St. Louis Blues in Games 1 and 2 of their first-round playof series. He wasn’t happy about giving away the puck behind the net and watching Alex Steen score in overtime to end Game 1 and he was angry at himself after Barret Jackman beat him for the winning goal late in Game 2.

“I’ve got to stop that. I’ve got to stop that,” Quick told reporters in St. Louis on Thursday night. “It’s my fault. Two games in a row. I’ve got to be better.”
