Kings-Blues series every bit as tight as it’s looked through the first five games

According to statistical research unearthed by the NHL’s crack crew, the Kings and St. Louis Blues have been tied or separated by one goal for 98.4 percent of the first-round playoff series. St. Louis had the only two goal lead of the series, and it lasted only 5 minutes, 1 second in the first period of Game 4. The Kings wiped out the Blues’ lead and then rallied from 3-2 down to win 4-3. The Kings can eliminate the Blues with a victory Friday night in Game 6 of the best-of-7 series at Staples Center.
