Darryl Sutter shuffles line combinations … for Wednesday’s practice, anyway

Dustin Brown went from playing left wing on a line with center Anze Kopitar and right wing Justin Williams to skating with third-liners Dwight King and Trevor Lewis during Wednesday’s practice. It remains to be seen if they’re together for Game 5 of the Kings’ second-round playoff series with the San Jose Sharks on Thursday.

Here’s what Brown had to say:

“We’ve scored two goals in 120 minutes, so I’m not surprised by any changes. It’s just a matter of getting our team the best opportunity to win. If the switches we made today help us win tomorrow, that’s what we do here.”

The Kings lost Games 3 and 4 to the Sharks at HP Pavilion in San Jose by matching scores of 2-1. The Kings have scored 20 goals in 10 games. Brown and Williams have scored two goals apiece in the playoffs, and Kopitar has one.

Wednesday’s line combos:

King-Lewis-Brown

Kyle Clifford-Kopitar-Williams

Dustin Penner-Mike Richards-Jeff Carter
