Dustin Brown said he knows why the Kings are 1-4 on the road in the playoffs.
“We haven’t scored on the road,” Brown said Saturday.
In fact, the Kings scored more than one goal on the road only once during the playoffs and that was during their 3-2 victory over the St. Louis Blues in Game 5 of their first-round series. Not surprisingly, that’s the Kings’ only road win in five tries.
“That’s the difference,” Brown said. “We’ve got to find a way to score goals on the road. That’s about preparation and doing the right things. San Jose has a really hard building to play in, but that’s not to say we can’t do what we need to do to get more goals. That’s about commitment, getting to the net, getting pucks to the net. At the end of the day, all of us, it’s about will this time of year.”
