Mike Richards talks about what the Kings can expect in West finals

When asked Wednesday what the Kings can expect from either the Chicago Blackhawks or the Detroit Red Wings in the upcoming Western Conference finals, forward Mike Richards said, “a lot of problems.” The Kings lost two of three to each team during the regular season. Here’s more from Richards on the day after the Kings eliminated the San Jose Sharks in Game 7 of their second-round playoff series:

“Obviously, we’re happy we’re here. It’s taken a lot to get to this point. We’ve had two hard-hitting series. We’re excited to see who we play next. (The Blackhawks and Red Wings have) a lot of skill. Both rosters have world-class players and great goaltenders. It would be nice to play at home. I’m not picking anybody, but Detroit would be nice because we’d be at home. I’ve been watching the other series very closely.”

Richards also said the Kings’ first-round win over the St. Louis Blues was “as hard-hitting a series as I’ve ever been a part of.”
