The Kings lost Games 1 and 2 on the road to the Chicago Blackhawks, just as they did against the St. Louis Blues. They rallied to win the next four and eliminated the Blues with a strong comeback in their first-round playoff series. Whether they can do it again against the deeper and more accomplished the Blackhawks in the Western Conference finals remains to be seen. The Kings sounded a defiant tone Monday, though.
“It’s no different than when we were down 2-0 to St. Louis,” Kings captain Dustin Brown said. “The only difference is we’re in the Western Conference finals now and maybe there’s a little bit more pressure. It’s a matter of handling it.”
