Kings captain Dustin Brown talked about the remarkable sameness of the roster, with only a few tweaks here and there to the team that won the Stanley Cup championship in 2012. Here’s more from the veteran left wing’s question-and-answer session Tuesday:

“It’s a good job by management to bring in the right pieces that kind of click together. Also, the responsibility of the players. It kind of goes to how the culture around here has changed. It’s not necessarily Darryl or Dean having to hold us accountable. We’ve gotten to that point, in this team, that we hold each other accountable. And that goes a long way.

“It’s not only the role part, but the familiarity with each other. We’re not meeting new faces. Obviously, there are a couple of new faces sprinkled in, but it makes it a lot easier. I remember my first couple of years, we’d have 10-12 new guys every year. It’s hard to kind of grow that relationship. I don’t know how many guys who are still here when we won (the Cup), but that goes a long way in the other direction.”
