Kings prospect watch: forwards Tanner Pearson, Tyler Toffoli and Linden Vey

Injuries to forwards Jeff Carter (foot), Kyle Clifford (concussion) and Jarret Stoll (upper body) left the Kings will no choice but to recall Tanner Pearson, Tyler Toffoli and Linden Vey from their American Hockey League affiliate at Manchester (N.H.). The three rookies have made their impact in recent games, but some have been more impactful than others, according to Kings coach Darryl Sutter.

“They all play different positions (but), clearly, one player has outplayed the other two if you did it in a one, two, three order,” Sutter said Monday. “So, they’re all different. Quite honest, one of them last night was a game-time decision whether I played him or not. Hopefully, they learned something.”

Sutter didn’t name names, but here are the statistics for the three so far:

Toffoli, eight points (four goals, four assists) in seven games.

Vey, three points (three assists) in six games.

Pearson, one point (one goal) in three games.
