Morning skate updates …

The Kings didn’t appear as if they would make any lineup changes for Game 3, but the Ducks sent winger Emerson Etem of Long Beach to Norfolk (Va.) of the American Hockey League and recalled defenseman Sami Vatanen from the minors. Vatanen and forward Kyle Palmieri were expected to join the lineup. Vatanen made a nine-hour trip from St. John’s, New Foundland, where Norfolk is playing its second-round playoff series. with a stop to change planes in Toronto before arriving at LAX on Wednesday. Palmieri was a healthy scratch for Games 1 and 2. The big (unanswered) questioned was whether the Ducks would swap goaltenders. Jonas Hiller was sound in the first two games, but backup Frederik Andersen was 3-0 against the Kings in the regular season.
